Deshalb hat Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz in seiner Regierungserkl\u00e4rung im Deutschen Bundestag am Dienstag noch einmal betont: Deutschland ist zur\u00fcck \u2013 als verl\u00e4sslicher B\u00fcndnispartner, starke Wirtschaftsnation und souver\u00e4ner Akteur in Europa.<\/span>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Die Erkl\u00e4rung stand ganz im Zeichen des NATO-Gipfels in Den Haag und der Tagung des Europ\u00e4ischen Rates in Br\u00fcssel, bei denen in dieser Woche wegweisende Beschl\u00fcsse zur Zukunft Europas und der NATO gefasst wurden. Angesichts der wachsenden Bedrohung haben die 32 NATO-Partner beschlossen, ihre Verteidigungsausgaben auf f\u00fcnf Prozent des Bruttoinlandsprodukts zu erh\u00f6hen. Bundeskanzler Merz brachte es in seiner Regierungserkl\u00e4rung auf den Punkt: Wir m\u00fcssen gemeinsam so stark sein, dass es niemand wagen kann, uns anzugreifen. Diesem Ziel dient auch die Beistandsklausel nach Artikel 5 des Nordatlantikvertrags, zu der sich die NATO-Staaten am Mittwoch erneut bekannt haben.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Neben der Bedeutung einer glaubhaften milit\u00e4rischen Abschreckung betonte Bundeskanzler Merz in seiner 30-min\u00fctigen Erkl\u00e4rung auch die Notwendigkeit zur St\u00e4rkung der Wettbewerbsf\u00e4higkeit der europ\u00e4ischen Wirtschaft. Dazu geh\u00f6ren die Vertiefung des Binnenmarktes, der umfassende B\u00fcrokratieabbau und eine neue Kultur der Zur\u00fcckhaltung bei europ\u00e4ischer Regulierung. Unser Ziel ist es, dass Deutschland ein modernes Industrieland in einem starken Europa bleibt, in dem es allen Menschen Freude macht, zu arbeiten.
