Doch das Zukunftsprojekt droht zu scheitern. Grund daf\u00fcr ist vor allem die Unt\u00e4tigkeit der Bundesregierung.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Zwar hat die Ampel nach z\u00e4hem Ringen im letzten Jahr endlich die erforderlichen Haushaltsmittel f\u00fcr die dritte Ausbaustufe des Digitalen Knotens bereitgestellt. Doch seit Dezember 2023 besteht vonseiten der Deutschen Bahn AG ein Gremienvorbehalt, der die weiteren Planungen f\u00fcr den dritten Baustein bis auf Weiteres auf Eis legt. Der Aufsichtsrat der Deutschen Bahn hat es in den vergangenen Monaten wiederholt vers\u00e4umt, diesen Gremienvorbehalt endlich auszur\u00e4umen \u2013 so auch bei seiner j\u00fcngsten Sitzung am 27. Juni. Es ist v\u00f6llig unverst\u00e4ndlich, dass die Bundesregierung und insbesondere das FDP-gef\u00fchrte Verkehrsministerium ihrer Verantwortung nicht gerecht werden und sich dieses Vorgehen bieten lassen. Der Bund ist schlie\u00dflich alleiniger Eigent\u00fcmer der Deutschen Bahn und sitzt mit mehreren Vertretern im Aufsichtsrat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die Zeit dr\u00e4ngt: Wenn die Unsicherheit weiter bestehen bleibt, kann die Realisierung der dritten Ausbaustufe ab diesem Jahr nicht starten. Haushaltsmittel in H\u00f6he von fast 500 Millionen Euro drohen dann zu verfallen. Gleichzeitig steht der gesamte Digitale Knoten auf der Kippe, denn der Erfolg des Projektes steht und f\u00e4llt mit der Umsetzung seines dritten Bausteins.
