Dass sich die Ampel nicht zu einer L\u00f6sung im Sinne unserer Gastronomen durchringen konnte, ist ein Armutszeugnis, das f\u00fcr viele Gastronomiebetriebe das Aus bedeuten wird.<\/span><\/p>\n

Als Unionsfraktion haben wir bis zum Schluss daf\u00fcr gek\u00e4mpft, die im Zuge der Corona-Pandemie auf 7 Prozent gesenkte Mehrwertsteuer in der Gastronomie dauerhaft beizubehalten. Bei der Ampel sind unsere Argumente jedoch auf taube Ohren gesto\u00dfen. Die Bundesregierung behauptet, kein Geld f\u00fcr eine Beibehaltung des Status quo im Haushalt zu haben. Das ist mutig, denn diese \u201eEinnahmen\u201c gibt es seit 2020 nicht mehr. Man verplant also Geld, das gar nicht vorhanden ist. Oder anders gesagt: Durch diese Steuererh\u00f6hung sollen einfach nur Mehreinnahmen f\u00fcr den Bundeshaushalt generiert werden.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mittelfristig wird jedoch nicht einmal die Bundesregierung von der Steuererh\u00f6hung profitieren. Ernstzunehmenden Sch\u00e4tzungen des Gastro-Branchenverbandes DeHoGa zufolge droht rund 12.000 Gastronomiebetrieben in Deutschland das Aus. Das Steueraufkommen in der Branche wird damit in nicht unerheblichem Ma\u00dfe wegbrechen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In Europa steht Deutschland mit dieser Steuererh\u00f6hung fast allein da, denn 23 von 27 EU-Staaten haben reduzierte Mehrwertsteuers\u00e4tze auf Speisen.
