September haben wir im Rahmen eines Festaktes ein ganz besonderes Jubil\u00e4um gefeiert: vor 50 Jahren, im Jahr 1973, hat die Ministerpr\u00e4sidentenkonferenz im Beisein des damaligen Bundeskanzlers Willy Brandt beschlossen, die einheitliche Notrufnummer 110\/112 in Deutschland einzuf\u00fchren. Eine lebensrettende Entscheidung: heute werden j\u00e4hrlich weit \u00fcber eine Million Notrufe abgesetzt \u2013 ein Gro\u00dfteil davon \u00fcber die Mobilfunknetze.<\/span><\/p>\n

Zu verdanken haben wir dies vor allem dem Engagement des Ehepaares Ute und Siegfried Steiger, die nach dem tragischen Unfall ihres Sohnes die Bj\u00f6rn-Steiger-Stiftung gr\u00fcndeten. Die Stiftung war und ist bis heute die treibende Kraft f\u00fcr ein besseres Rettungswesen mit einheitlichen Notrufnummern in der gesamten Bundesrepublik.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wir alle sind der Familie Steiger aus Winnenden zu gro\u00dfem Dank verpflichtet.
